The GMR-600 system enables the V8 to produce both torque and power in excess of most naturally-aspirated production cars. At the same time it improves fuel economy and reduces emissions over the standard car!

In summary (Aston Martin 4.3 litre V8):
•  Peak power: 573 bhp (Standard car: 380 bhp*)
•  Peak torque: 445 lbs/ft (Standard car: 302 lbs/ft*)
•  Peak torque achieved at 3500 rpm
•  Improvement in fuel economy over the standard car in everyday driving.

(Both of these upgrades are available to all 4.3 and 4.7 engine cars with manual or sportshift transmission).

The car’s torque and power curves after supercharging

The dynamometer graph shows the profile of the car’s torque and power curves after supercharging.  Its torque ‘peak’ is substantially longer and flatter than any conventionally-aspirated engine.  This  desirable ‘plateau’ effect is the key to the car’s enhanced flexibility and driveability.  The engine  produces peak output from 3,500 rpm and maintains it until the redline.

• The measurements were taken on the highly accurate dynamometer at John Sleath Racecars of Doncaster.

• The ‘bump’ in each line on the graph at 2000 rpm is caused by the tyres spinning on the rollers of the dynamometer!

• These gains were achieved using the standard car’s exhaust and silencers, with 200-cell catalytic converters; we have retained the standard car’s maximum RPM limit rather than raise it in order to achieve a higher “headline” peak power figure.  See Engine Load and Reliability as to the importance of this.

Sports Cat

GMR has developed 200 cell sports CATs to complement the GMR600 supercharger system. When used as stand-alone items (i.e. without the supercharger system), they generate a net gain of 25bhp.

The standard catalytic converters are unable to handle the volume of gas emitted by the supercharged engine. Their cost is included in the price of the supercharger installations.

GMR CATs exceed all current emission standards are designed with long-life in mind.

The GMR slam panel complements the carbon-fibre finish of the supercharger installation inlet manifold cover and water reservoir.
